About
Operator-first strategy firm. Builders of audiences, systems, and brands.
★ Founder named 2025 Georgia Entertainment Entrepreneur of the Year
BlndSpot is a marketing, operations, and AI adoption consultancy working with mid-market companies that need to move faster than their current stack, team, or playbook will allow. The firm is led by Ryan Johnson, whose career spans enterprise technology consulting at Vonage Business and Adapture and his current role as founder and CEO of Cxmmunity Media, which he has scaled into a defining platform in modern entertainment. BlndSpot operates as part of Johnson Ventures Group.
Through Cxmmunity Media, our team has built a next-generation media company at the intersection of gaming, anime, and creator culture: a cultural home for Gen Z and youth audiences spanning original content, live events, and a growing creator marketplace. That work has put us on both sides of every conversation most of our clients are having: operator and advisor, founder and buyer, builder and brand partner.
Under Ryan's leadership, Cxmmunity launched the HBCU Esports League, one of the few Black-owned competitive gaming leagues globally, which has reached more than 45 million viewers and partnered with global brands including Twitch, Nike, Verizon, MTN Dew, and Honda. We launched The Kickback, a lifestyle-driven media franchise blending gaming, music, and creator culture through live experiences and digital programming. And we secured an investment and strategic partnership with Live Nation Urban to accelerate live events, creator experiences, and entertainment programming nationwide.
Behind that growth is a creator-first ecosystem anchored by a Discord community of more than 10,000 creators, gamers, and cultural tastemakers. Proof that we don't just theorize about audience-building. We've done it from zero, in public, with revenue on the line.
In December 2025, Georgia Entertainment named Ryan and his co-founder Chris Peay Georgia's Entertainment Entrepreneurs of the Year at the Signature 100, the state's annual gathering of leaders across film, music, sports, gaming, and the creator economy. The award recognized the work they've done building one of the most influential platforms supporting underrepresented creators and storytellers, connecting talent to capital, studios, and global brands.
That operator's lens is what we bring to client work. Our practice focuses on four things mid-market marketing and ops leaders consistently need help with: building new audience and customer segments using cultural and data intelligence; AI education and adoption, meeting teams where they are and bringing them to fluency; marketing and revenue operations, the unglamorous infrastructure work that makes everything else scale; and web design and brand strategy that helps companies look and feel like what they've grown into.
When we advise your team, you're not getting frameworks. You're getting operators who have built first-party data systems, deployed AI workflows, structured enterprise partnerships, run live events, and grown communities, and who know where the integration is going to break, which AI use case is theater versus real value, and what your ops team actually needs to execute the plan.
